Areas of Concentration

Ethan Litwin’s practice focuses on all aspects of antitrust law, including compliance with international merger control regulations, antitrust class action litigation, government criminal and civil investigations, and antitrust counseling. Mr. Litwin has been repeatedly cited as a leading antitrust and competition lawyer by publications such as Global Competition Review, the Practical Law Company, and Ethisphere Magazine.

In his transactional practice, Mr. Litwin regularly guides complex deals through regulatory investigations conducted under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act, the European Community Merger Regulation and other merger control laws in more than 35 countries worldwide.

Mr. Litwin’s litigation practice focuses on the defense of antitrust class action cases and has represented companies in federal and state courts across the U.S. He also defends targets of criminal and civil investigations before antitrust regulators in the U.S., the European Union and elsewhere. He frequently counsels clients on a wide range of antitrust issues concerning joint ventures, trade associations, standard-setting organizations and distribution practices.

Mr. Litwin is the Chair of the New York County Lawyers Association’s Antitrust and Trade Regulation Committee, the Vice Chair of the International Antitrust Committee of the ABA’s International Law Section, and a member of the U.S. Council for International Business Competition Committee. He frequently writes and speaks on international antitrust issues.
