Q. What qualities does Hughes Hubbard seek in associates?

A. Hughes Hubbard actively recruits those law students whose academic performance, energy, personality and character suggest that they possess the ability and desire to meet the challenges presented by a demanding practice and are prepared to develop rapidly and assume responsibility early.

Q. What are the Firm's minority recruitment efforts?

A. Q. What are the Firm's LGBT recruitment efforts?

A. Q. How is the Firm managed?

A. The managing partner and an elected fifteen-member Executive Committee are responsible for overall Firm Management with the participation of various operating committees (e.g., Personnel, Recruiting, Practice Development) and the partnership as a whole.

Q. How do associates participate in the management and governance of Hughes Hubbard?

A. The Firm has an elected Associates Advisory Committee that meets regularly with the co-chairs of the Firm's Personnel Committee to discuss a wide variety of issues affecting associate life. In addition, other Firm committees, including our Diversity Committee and Recruiting Teams, have fully participating associate members.

Q. Who are some of the Firm's clients?

A. Included among our clients are domestic and foreign corporations, financial institutions, investment banking firms, partnerships and individuals, and many clients in the public and non-profit sectors. Clients we have recently represented include: Viacom, BMI, Christie's, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Knight-Ridder, The Hartford, Isetan and Merck.
