Sean Mason is an associate in Hughes Hubbard’s Washington, D.C. office. He is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department, working primarily with the Anti-Corruption & Internal Investigations and the Sanctions, Export Controls & Anti-Money Laundering practice groups.
As part of the Anti-Corruption and Internal Investigations practice group, Sean assists clients with matters involving international anti-corruption laws, including corporate compliance and internal investigations. Sean also has experience in advising domestic and international clients on economic trade sanctions compliance and enforcement.
Prior to joining the firm, Sean worked as a legal intern in the SEC’s Student Honors Program, where he assisted in investigations of securities fraud and violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
Before attending law school, Sean was a paralegal for the U.S. Department of Justice in the FCPA Unit, where he assisted attorneys in all aspects of prosecution of complex cases involving violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
