News

Prior to Bill’s retirement, he was a partner in Hughes Hubbard’s Miami office and head of the firm’s real estate practice.  He was particularly active in the hospitality sector, representing leading hotel and resort owners and operators.  He also represented owners and developers in development deals, including the development of a 100-acre town center and the development of mixed-use projects.  In addition to these areas, he  was involved in the formation of equity joint ventures, offshore equity investment funds and related investment vehicles, and co-branding and franchise structures.  An area of particular interest for Bill were public/private partnerships-- long-term agreements between municipalities and private developers to develop projects financed with tax increment and other municipal bond financings, as well as conventional debt and equity sources.

Bill is a member of the Miami-Dade County Bar Association, the Florida Bar, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the American Bar Association (ABA).  He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute and Trustee Emeritus of the University of Florida Law Center Association Board.
