April 2018 – Hagit Elul, a partner in the firm’s Arbitration & ADR practice, has assumed a leadership role in a joint working group on cybersecurity in international arbitration.
As chair of the Arbitration Committee of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR), Elul leads on behalf of the nonprofit in the working group, which launched late last year. The group also comprises the International Council for Commercial Arbitration and the New York City Bar Association.
The ICCA-NYC Bar-CPR Working Group on Cybersecurity in International Arbitration is dedicated to addressing cybersecurity needs in arbitral practice and establishing voluntary cybersecurity protocols for use in international arbitral proceedings. Global Arbitration Review nominated the launch of the group in the “Best Development” category for the 8th Annual GAR Awards, which will be held April 12 in Paris.
