Cergy Paris University and the law firm Hughes Hubbard & Reed are organizing the third edition of the International Governance, Risk and Compliance Competition.

October 2022 – The Chair in Business Law & Ethics at CY Cergy Paris University and the law firm Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP are pleased to announce their partnership covering the next two editions of the International Governance, Risk & Compliance Challenge (ICGRC) 2023 and 2024. Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP will be involved in organizing and running the competition, and contributing its expertise to shaping the next two editions.

ICGRC is open to students from French and foreign universities who are interested or specialize in the fields of governance, risk management and compliance, and who want to join forces to stand up for their beliefs and defend their ideas.

Firmly focused on major societal issues, the ICGRC aims to become the leading moot event, addressing themes as varied as combatting financial and economic crime, human rights protection, respect for the environment, security and data protection. The competition is also fully in keeping with the sustainable development goals it aims to promote at the same time.

The third edition of the Challenge, which opens in November 2022, will be held in French and will include two phases, written and oral, before ending in July 2023 with pleadings before a Grand Jury composed of public figures and recognized experts.

More information will be available on the Competition’s social media and networks.
