“Christophe brings a wealth of experience counseling clients across a range of complex IT infrastructure, technology, cybersecurity and data privacy issues,” said Ted Mayer, chair of Hughes Hubbard. “His joining expands our already strong bench of compliance, regulatory and dispute resolution practices in Paris and, as internal investigations continue to grow in importance within the French and European markets, helps us better counsel clients as they navigate data protection and privacy issues in the context of their broader compliance activities.”

"Joining Hughes Hubbard is a real step forward for my clients and for me, especially in terms of technology and innovation,” said Fichet. “We share the same values: our emphasis on sophisticated experience and knowledge of the market and our clients. This is an excellent partnership for my clients, as the firm provides the ability and agility to understand, address and serve client needs with the ever-changing challenges data privacy presents. Clients also want strong compliance and sanctions experience and knowledge, which Hughes Hubbard has.”

“Christophe has successfully represented major companies throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East, where many enterprises face complex and evolving compliance environments,” said Bryan Sillaman, managing partner of HHR’s Paris office. “We look forward to welcoming him and working together to expand the range of services we offer out of Paris for our multinational clients navigating these issues.”
