Dan Schnapp was among the "Top 50 Under 45" in the May 2008 issue of IP Law & Business. The list, which was winnowed down from 230 nominations, represents the top IP lawyers in the U.S. from a range of IP facets, including trademark, copyright, patent, and trade secrets, as well as different practices, including htigation, transaction and policy work. The lawyers were chosen for their "sheer brain power, legal smarts, creativity and hard work," according to editor Pamela Sherrid. IP Law & Business singled out Schnapp’s role in forging client Viacom’s five-year partnership with Microsoft. "Schnapp hammered out the complex deal for Viacom, devising a mixture of guarantees, hcensing fees and revenue sharing," the magazine reported in its profile about him.
