New York, December 5, 2014 — Hughes Hubbard & Reed announced today that Sarah L. Cave, a partner in Hughes Hubbard’s Litigation Practice Group, has been appointed to the New York City Bar Association’s Executive Committee. Cave will complete the remaining term of Nadine Fontaine, who resigned after going to work for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. The term will expire in May 2015.

As a member of the Executive Committee, Cave will oversee the association’s budget and operations and help develop law and public policy. She also serves as Chair of the New York City Bar’s Special Committee to Encourage Judicial Service.

At Hughes Hubbard, Cave focuses her practice on securities litigation, accountants’ liability and bankruptcy litigation. She co-chairs the firm’s Pro Bono Committee and is active in organizing several of the firm’s diversity and women’s initiatives.

In addition to her involvement with the New York City Bar, she is a member of the American Bar Association Business Law Section, Business & Corporate Litigation Committee and co-chair of the Bankruptcy Litigation Subcommittee. She was also a 2013–2014 fellow in the David Rockefeller Fellows Program of the Partnership for New York City.
