Hughes Hubbard & Reed represented Van Merksteijn International B.V. in connection with the sale of its US welded wire reinforcement business to a subsidiary of Keystone Consolidated Industries
 
Terms of the deal, which closed in the last quarter of 2014, are not public.
 
Keystone, headquartered in Dallas, makes wire products, carbon steel rod, industrial wire, nails and construction products. Its subsidiary, Engineered Wire Products Inc., is located in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
 
Netherlands-based Van Merksteijn International manufactures structural steel, fencing and wire products. The business sold is based in Warren, Ohio and manufactures welded wire reinforcement mesh for use in precast, pre-stressed, cast-in-place and construction markets.
