July 10, 2025 – Hughes Hubbard is ranked No. 27 in The American Lawyer’s 2025 National Pro Bono Scorecard.

The annual report ranks AmLaw 200 firms by their pro bono score for work performed by U.S.-based lawyers. Half of the score comes from the average number of pro bono hours per lawyer in 2024; the other half represents the percentage of lawyers who performed more than 20 hours of pro bono work.

According to the publication, Hughes Hubbard’s U.S. lawyers averaged nearly 75 hours of pro bono work, with nearly 59% of the firm’s U.S. lawyers completing 20+ pro bono hours in 2024.

“Hughes Hubbard is extremely proud of our continued dedication to pro bono work,” said Neil Oxford, chair and Robb Patryk, managing partner. “Public service is deeply embedded in our firm’s culture and we look forward to continuing to help underserved communities and advocating for those that would otherwise not have access to justice.”
