November 3, 2021 – Hughes Hubbard has been recognized by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) with a 2021 Compass Award for its involvement in the council’s programs and the promotion of LCLD’s mission. 

The award recognizes members who submit a leader's pledge and/or personally attends LCLD’s Annual Meeting or a Leadership Summit, participate in the Fellows and Pathfinder programs, and participate in at least one pipeline program.
 
Four HHR lawyers – Patrice Jean, Meaghan Gragg, Fara Tabatabai and Emilio Saiz – have served as LCLD Fellows in 2014, 2018, 2020 and 2021 respectively wherein they learned leadership skills, professional networking skills, and strategies to assist in the development and advancement of the next generation of diverse leaders in the legal profession.
 
This year, Walter Song served as a Pathfinder, participating in a program to train high-performing, early-career lawyers in critical career development strategies, including leadership and the building of professional networks.
