Fara Tabatabaiis a litigation associate in Hughes Hubbard & Reed's New York office. Her practice focuses on securities, products liability and complex business litigation. She has represented both US and international clients in a variety of industries, including the financial services, telecommunications and pharmaceutical industries. She represented the trustee of the Lehman Brothers Inc. estate in two multibillion-dollar litigations, and recently represented the European entities of the former Nortel Networks enterprise in the first US-Canadian cross-border trial in history. She is currently representing Pfizer Inc. in a large multidistrict products liability litigation.
Fara is also committed to providing quality pro bono legal services and has represented clients in asylum and immigration cases, as well as intellectual property, employment and family law disputes. She was recently selected to receive the 2015 Commitment to Justice Award for Outstanding Legal Team for her work on a pro bono immigration case for Her Justice, an organization that provides legal services to low-income women.
Fara currently serves as a member of the board of directors of the Iranian American Bar Association's New York Chapter and as chair of the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Iranian American Bar Association’s New York Chapter.
