Fara Tabatabaiis a senior associate in Hughes Hubbard’s New York office. Her practice focuses on complex commercial, contract, products liability, securities, and employment litigation and arbitration. She has represented both U.S. and international clients in a variety of industries, including the financial services, telecommunications, technology, and pharmaceutical industries. She represented the Trustee of the Lehman Brothers Inc. estate in two multi-billion dollar litigations, and recently represented the European entities of the former Nortel Networks enterprise in the first US-Canadian cross-border trial in history.
Fara is committed to providing quality pro bono legal services and has represented clients in asylum and immigration cases, as well as intellectual property, employment, and family law disputes. She was recently selected to receive the 2015 Commitment to Justice Award for Outstanding Legal Team for her work on a pro bono immigration case for Her Justice, an organization that provides legal services to low-income women.
Fara currently serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Iranian American Bar Association’s New York Chapter and as Chair of the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Iranian American Bar Association’s New York Chapter.
