New York, NY, July 27, 2010 — Aviation finance lawyer Steven Chung has joined Hughes Hubbard & Reed as a partner in the firm’s Washington, DC office from Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy, where he practiced for more than 11 years.

Mr. Chung is experienced in a wide variety of aircraft and other structured-equipment financings. Most recently, he has represented sponsors, lenders, export credit agencies and commercial banks in aircraft acquisitions and dispositions, domestic and cross-border leveraged lease transactions, aircraft portfolio securitizations, syndicated credit facilities, pre-delivery payment and warehouse facilities, and joint venture transactions. He has worked on financings in the US, Europe, Latin America and Asia.

This year’s edition of Chambers USA ranked Hughes Hubbard’s aviation practice as one of the best in the United States. In the last few years, the firm has worked on aircraft financings involving billions of dollars, including five groundbreaking transactions named “Deal of the Year” by Airfinance Journal.
