Biography
Client Advisories

Florence Warsmann is an associate at the Paris office of Hughes Hubbard & Reed and a member of the firm’s international arbitration practice.

She assists clients with commercial and investment arbitration matters, particularly in Europe and Africa.

Prior to joining the firm, Florence gained experience in international commercial and investment arbitration with various international law firms.

Selected Matters

  • Counsel to an African state in a dispute relating to the annulment of an agreement over allegations of corruption (ICC arbitration, Paris seat, French law).
  • Counsel to an African state in a dispute relating to the termination of an operation and maintenance agreement (CCJA arbitration, Abidjan seat, Gabonese law)
  • Counsel to Tara Resources AG (Swiss) against the State of Montenegro over the cancellation of a zinc project (ICSID Case No. ARB/25/36)
  • Represented a Moroccan group in the public urban transportation sector in a dispute against a Spanish group in relation to the violation of a partnership agreement regarding the operation of a bus network in Rabat (ICC arbitration, Paris seat, Moroccan law).
  • Represented a French Group in a dispute concerning a delay and disruption claim in relation to an EPC and an O&M Agreement for a power plant in Kenya (ICC arbitration, London seat, English law).
  • Represented a Swiss company against an African state in relation to the violation of an agreement regarding the operation and maintenance of a computer centre (SAC arbitration, Geneva seat, Congolese law).
  • Represented an Icelandic thermal energy company in a dispute over the development of a geothermal power plant in France (ICC arbitration, Paris seat, French law).
  • Represented a French company in a dispute relating to the design of an urban park in Asia (ICC arbitration, Paris seat, French law).
