Fara Tabatabai Named a 2023 “Rising Star” by Law360

July 25, 2023 - Fara Tabatabai was named a 2023 “Rising Star” by Law360. Rising Stars are attorneys under 40 “whose legal accomplishments belie their age.”

In a wide-ranging interview with the publication, Tabatabai discussed several topics including her biggest case (advising Tokyo Electric Power company, whose Fukushima plant reactors failed in unprecedented flooding in 2011) and her proudest moments as a lawyer (her pro bono work on behalf of immigrants seeking asylum in the U.S.)

On what motivates her, Tabatabai said: “I think this job is as much about relationships as it is about legal acumen… I work with my friends, people I really like and admire. Everybody’s on the team – the clients, everybody at Hughes Hubbard, we’re all in it together. I’m motivated to do a good job for the team. I also have two young sons and I want them to be proud of me and know the value of hard work.”

Law360 selected this year’s Rising Stars winners after reviewing more than 1,350 submissions.
