The latest edition of Hughes Hubbard & Reed’s FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act)/Antibribery Spring Alert was featured on the June 29, 2011 FCPA Blog, which describes it as “bigger and better” and “an important addition to any FCPA library.” According to the posting: “This year's edition . . . sets a new standard for FCPA-related discussion. It’s a combination of exposition, opinion piece and encyclopedia—all of it top notch in content and presentation.” This review was also featured on The Wall Street Journal’s blog Corruption Currents.

In addition, Episode 10 of “This Week in the FCPA” featured bloggers Howard Sklar and Tom Fox, who praised the 349-page alert, calling it “impressive,” “well-organized” and “intellectually generous.” They also congratulated the firm on being named #1 to The American Lawyer’s A-List.

The great press coverage was followed by a significant amount of traffic to Hughes Hubbard’s anti-corruption and internal investigations group’s webpage and requests to join the firm’s FCPA distribution list. Kevin Abikoff received requests from many parts of the United States and as far away as Germany, Dubai and Austria.

Kevin Abikoff and John Wood authored this year’s alert with assistance from Benjamin Britz, Michael Huneke, Bryan Sillaman, Daniel McLaughlin, Michael DeBernardis and Kyden Creekpaum.
