Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP is pleased to announce that Dev Ghose has joined as Counsel in the firm’s Banking and Financial Services practice group within the Corporate Department in its New York office. Ghose’s broad experience working with lenders and borrowers on complex financing matters focuses on debt financings, private credit and leveraged finance.

“I’m excited to be joining a leading and internationally respected team at Hughes Hubbard,” said Ghose. “The corporate team is innovative and known for resolving tough cases, and the firm’s wide scope of services broadens my abilities to best serve my clients.”

Ghose has worked with leading creditors and debtors in a wide range of industries, including hospitality, e-commerce, information technology, midstream pipelines, distribution and service, and manufacturing and food services. He is well-versed in representing borrowers in private equity sponsor financings, financings for both private and public companies and fund finance matters. On the lender side, Ghose’s past work includes advising clients on acquisition financing facilities, add-on facilities and NAV secondaries facilities to sponsors acquiring middle-market targets and portfolio interests. He also has experience working with claims funders and claimants in structuring collateral arrangements and funding international arbitration transactions.

“Dev’s experience will strengthen the firm’s finance practice, specifically our work in private credit and leveraged finance,” said Steve Greene, chair of the firm’s Banking and Financial Services practice group. “He is a valued addition to the team as we continue to build on the tremendous reputation of our corporate group.”

During his 16-year career, Ghose has invested substantial time guiding clients through leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, acquisition financings, asset-based lending facilities, subordinated facilities, broadly syndicated facilities, bridge facilities, high yield and investment grade note offerings, and financial restructurings.

“Dev is an exceptional and widely respected attorney who is well-known for his experience in private credit investing and leveraged finance,” said Ted Mayer, chair of Hughes Hubbard. “He brings extensive experience representing lenders and borrowers in private credit and debt financings, and an impressive client list. We are excited about the experience and industry knowledge he brings to our team, and the added value we can deliver to clients as a result.”

Ghose earned his B.S. at University of Florida and his J.D. at Emory University School of Law.
