December 1, 2023 - Jan Dunin-Wasowicz has been selected for inclusion in Financier Worldwide’s “Power Players: International Trade & Sanctions 2023 Distinguished Advisers,” a list featuring the leading practitioners in the field.

In a Q&A profile, Dunin-Wasowicz explained that his team draws upon a multidisciplinary, international skillset to assist clients facing some of the most complex and sensitive compliance matters, often involving U.S., EU and other foreign regulators and enforcement authorities.

“I spend a significant amount of time engaging with various stakeholders in the sanctions and export controls community to develop in-depth knowledge of my practice area and to contribute to meaningful private-public collaboration, which I believe is a distinctive feature of our compliance era.”

Dunin-Wasowicz said his team approaches their work with humility and determination, guided by a strong sense of duty for their clients. “In a world that has become incredibly complex and tumultuous, I strive to help clients understand and navigate uncertain issues and evolving risks. Foreign policy and national security have become key issues for legal and compliance professionals,” he said.

“Staying abreast of relevant developments in world affairs and thinking about their potential impact on my clients motivates me greatly,” he said. “I practice law, but I make sure to practice law in context, considering the various policy factors that bring about changes in regulations and government guidance without losing sight of operational realities.”
