John Townsend and James Boykin secured a victory for client Sinopec International Petroleum Exploration and Production Company (SIPC) in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, when the court dismissed an attempt by British Virgin Islands-based Uni-Top to enforce a $21 million arbitration award against SIPC that had been set aside by the courts in China, where the award was made.

Victory for Bumble in Contract Case

Fara Tabatabai achieved another victory for Bumble when the Appellate Division of the New York Supreme Court unanimously affirmed the trial court’s decision granting the dating app’s motion for summary judgment in a lawsuit it brought against restaurant company L&L NY 5 Inc. over a failed sublease.
