New York and Miami, Jan. 6, 2026 – Hughes Hubbard is pleased to announce the promotion of four associates to counsel, effective Jan. 1. The newly promoted lawyers are Elizabeth Beitler, Kevin Braker, David Cohen and Brian Vaca.

Beitler, Braker and Cohen are based in the firm’s New York office, while Vaca is based in Miami. Each brings deep experience and proven skill in their respective practice areas, which include aviation finance, corporate reorganization and bankruptcy, litigation, and international arbitration.

Elizabeth Beitler joined the Corporate Reorganization & Bankruptcy and Litigation groups in 2016. She advises on complex restructurings, bankruptcy litigation and distressed trading matters, representing financial institutions, debtors and creditors.

Kevin Braker joined the Litigation practice in 2005. His work focuses on pharmaceutical and products liability litigation, as well as securities, shareholder derivative and Employee Retirement Income Security Act matters.

David Cohen joined the firm in 2018 and is a member of the Corporate department, with a focus on commercial aircraft finance. He advises leasing companies, lenders, private equity investors and global airlines on a wide range of aircraft financing, leasing and corporate transactions.

Brian Vaca joined the International Arbitration team in 2024. He advises foreign sovereigns and corporate clients in high stakes investment and commercial disputes, including matters involving landmark legal issues.
