Elizabeth
A. Beitler is a member of the firm’s Corporate Reorganization and Litigation departments, where she focuses on bankruptcy, restructuring and commercial litigation.
Elizabeth’s diverse restructuring practice includes the representation of financial institutions, debtors, and creditors in a wide range of matters, including in and out-of-court restructurings, liability management exercises, debtor-in-possession financing, asset sales and acquisitions, and bankruptcy litigation, including avoidance actions. Elizabeth also has experience representing trading and sales businesses in the distressed space for fixed income products.
In addition to her restructuring practice, Elizabeth maintains an active pro bono practice, representing clients in immigration and Social Security cases.

In re Genesis Global Holdco, LLC: Represented Gemini Trust Company, LLC as agent for over 232,000 lenders who Genesis owed more than $1 billion in connection with cryptocurrency loans.
In re Lehman Brothers Inc. (LBI): Represented the SIPA Trustee in the $123 billion liquidation of Lehman Brothers Inc., the largest bankruptcy in history. Secured a 100% recovery for customers, secured and priority claimants and distributed over $9 billion to general unsecured creditors.
In re Grupo Aeroméxico, S.A.B. de C.V.: Represented Delta Air Lines, Inc., as majority equity holder and strategic partner of Grupo Aeroméxico, S.A.B. de C.V., in Aeroméxico's chapter 11 restructuring.
In re New Emerald Energy, LLC: Represented secured creditor Dakota Midstream LLC as the purchaser of assets through a bankruptcy auction.
In re Sears Holdings Corp.: Counsel to the Honorable J. Douglas Cunningham Q.C., the litigation trustee for Sears Canada Inc., in connection with the cross-border aspects of his claims against ESL Investments.
In re Cenveo, Inc.: Post-effective date counsel for Cenveo in its chapter 11 proceedings, including primary responsibility for administering its claims process involving claims totaling approximately $2 billion.
