Talia L. Helfrick, an associate in the firm’s Corporate Reorganization Group, provides broad spectrum representation in all matters related to distressed businesses. Talia represents creditors and investors in bankruptcy litigation and insolvency, corporate restructuring, and related litigation matters, as well as companies in the restructuring of their third party relationships and capital structures.
Talia also has experience representing fiduciaries appointed in and after corporate bankruptcy. Talia assisted in the representation of the SIPA Trustee for the liquidation of Lehman Brothers Inc. (“LBI”) in connection with the LBI estate’s final distribution and closure. She was also part of the team that conceived and implemented the post-closing LBI Liquidating Trust. Talia currently represents the Trust Administrator of the LBI Liquidating Trust.
Talia maintains an active pro bono practice, providing legal help to women living in poverty in New York City and representing clients in immigration cases.
