Latin Lawyer 250 has once again named Hughes Hubbard & Reed among the top international firms practicing in Latin America. In its 2013 edition, the guide recommended Hughes Hubbard as a top international firm in Latin American for legal work in the following areas: corporate and M&A, banking and finance, aviation, arbitration, white-collar crime and compliance and international trade.

Researchers noted that Hughes Hubbard has built real Brazilian experience and knowledge with team members who have “deep links to the country.” As a result, “this firm evidences a much greater awareness of, and work in, the region’s biggest economy than is the norm.”

The guide also recognized the following 14 lawyers for their work in the region: Freddie Goudie, Tim McCarthy and Mark Denham in corporate and M&A; Amy G. Dulin and Steve Chung in banking and finance; Steve Chung, Jeffrey Tenen and Israel Sanchez in aviation; John Fellas, José Rosell and Steve Hammond in arbitration; Kevin Abikoff and John Wood in white-collar crime and compliance; and Amanda DeBusk and Ken Pierce in international trade.

Latin Lawyer magazine developed the guide through 15 years of research, including interviews with clients and firms.
