Turnarounds & Workouts Names Christopher Kiplok 'Outstanding Restructuring Lawyer'

January 2018 – Christopher Kiplok has been named an “Outstanding Restructuring Lawyer” by Turnarounds & Workouts for 2017. The publication's annual list honors the 15 most prominent restructuring lawyers in the United States, which appears as a special report in its December issue.

Kiplok was recognized for his role in multiple cases. The publication highlights his representation of:

• Republic Airways in its $3.6 billion Chapter 11 restructuring;
• DNB Bank in its role as creditor, debtor-in-possession lender and exit financier in GulfMark Offshore’s $747 million Chapter 11 bankruptcy;
• Ultrapetrol in its $800 million Chapter 11 case; and
• Trustee for the liquidation of Lehman Brothers Inc.

He is the second Hughes Hubbard attorney to be recognized by Turnarounds & Workouts. In 2014, Dustin Smith was named an “Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyer” for his work on the Lehman and MF Global bankruptcies.
