Fara Tabatabai Elected President of Iranian American Bar's New York Chapter
June 25, 2018 — Fara Tabatabai, counsel in the firm's New York office, has been elected president of the Iranian American Bar Association’s (IABA) New York Chapter.
Tabatabai was elected to a one-year term on June 14, effective immediately. Tabatabai, who joined the IABA in 2008, previously served a one-year term as vice president and spent the past four years as chair of the CLE Committee.
Formed in 2000 in Washington, D.C., the IABA seeks to educate and inform on legal matters of interest and concern to the Iranian-American community. The IABA has grown to include nine chapters worldwide and a membership of prominent attorneys, judges and law students. The IABA’s New York Chapter was formed in 2001.
