Firm Reps Lighting Guru Robert Sonneman in Sale of Company

June 28, 2018 — The firm advised lighting designer Robert Sonneman in the sale of Sonneman – A Way of Light to private investment firm Dunes Point Capital (DPC).

Terms of the deal, announced on June 25, were not disclosed. The sale is expected to help Sonneman – A Way of Light expand its product offerings, facilities and markets.

Sonneman, who has a 50-year career in the lighting industry, founded the company in 2003. The company designs and manufactures high-end architectural lighting for commercial and residential applications. Sonneman will continue to drive the company’s creative vision in his new role as executive chairman and chief creative officer.

Founded in 2013 and located in Rye, N.Y., DPC pursues control investments in companies operating in the general industrial sector.
