Hughes Hubbard Expands Asia Pacific Practice with Addition of Justin Terada in Tokyo Office

June 9, 2025 – Justin Terada has joined Hughes Hubbard as counsel and head of the firm’s Tokyo office. His addition will expand the firm’s highly regarded Asia Pacific practice and further support the outbound legal needs of the firm’s Japanese clients.

Justin has significant experience in supporting clients in transactions across the U.S., Japan and Europe. Justin began his career at a “Big Four” Japanese law firm and then worked in two global law firms in Tokyo and Frankfurt, Germany.

Justin’s practice focuses on cross-border transactions, including M&A, strategic and private equity investments, joint ventures, corporate reorganizations, and other corporate and commercial transactions.

Justin has worked across a range of industries including aviation, automotive, industrial machinery and manufacturing, energy and power, infrastructure, consumer products, life sciences and technology.

Justin is admitted in California, Ireland (non-practicing) and England and Wales. He earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles and his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. Justin is fluent in Japanese.
