Hughes Hubbard Ranks No. 2 in The American Lawyer’s 2026 Midlevel Associates Survey
Firm ranked among the nation’s leading law firms for midlevel associate satisfaction.
Hughes Hubbard ranked No. 2 in The American Lawyer’s 2026 Midlevel Associates Survey, earning an average score of 4.766 out of 5 across 12 measures of associate satisfaction. Hughes Hubbard also earned the No. 1 ranking for New York City, as well as for the survey’s Tech Scorecard component.

The annual survey reports on feedback from third-, fourth- and fifth-year associates on factors including compensation and benefits, training, work satisfaction, relationships with colleagues, billable-hours policies and management transparency.
The firm’s top ranking in the Tech Scorecard portion of the survey reflects associates’ positive views of Hughes Hubbard’s technology resources, training and innovation initiatives, including its approach to emerging technologies such as AI.
