October 15, 2020 — HHR is representing global information technology company Wipro in its pending acquisition of engineering services company Eximius Design.

Wipro announced on Oct. 13 that it had signed an agreement to acquire Eximius for $80 million. The acquisition is expected to close by the end of the year. HHR previously advised Wipro’s digital business unit in its acquisition of Seattle-based Rational in February.

Eximius provides end-to-end solutions and services for building smarter, smaller and faster-connected products for various use cases of internet of things (IoT), industry 4.0, edge computing, cloud, 5G and artificial intelligence.

“Eximius enables Wipro to strengthen market leadership in [very-large-scale integration] and systems design services by expanding our market presence and strengthening our technical leadership in the semiconductor ecosystem, to help accelerate silicon innovation for our customers,” said Harmeet Chauhan, senior vice president of industrial & engineer services at Wipro.

Founded in August 2013 and headquartered in San Jose, Eximius is focused on semiconductor, software and systems design. Eximius has design centers in India and Malaysia and its clients list includes Fortune 100 enterprises and high-profile startups.
