Touchard, Sabrina

Sabrina Touchard is counsel in Hughes Hubbard’s Paris office and a member of the Litigation and Arbitration practice groups. Her practice focuses on international commercial arbitration and investor-state arbitrations. She advises states and private entities in disputes relating to mining projects, joint ventures, shareholders agreements and distribution agreements. Sabrina also assists clients with post-arbitral disputes (annulment and enforcement).

Prior to joining Hughes Hubbard, she practiced for more than eight years at an international law firm in Paris, where she developed extensive expertise in international arbitration.

Sabrina is native in French, and fluent in English.

  • Counsel to an African state in a dispute relating to the annulment of an agreement over allegations of corruption (ICC arbitration, Paris seat, French law).
  • Counsel to two French investors in an investment arbitration against an African State relating to forced transfer to the State of the license and contracts for operating an international airport owned by our clients (ICC arbitration, France-Equatorial Guinea Bilateral Investment Treaty, Geneva seat).
  • Counsel to an African State in multiple arbitration proceedings relating to the termination of contracts over allegations of corruption (ICC and LCIA arbitrations, Paris and London seats).
  • Counsel to a Saudi investor in two arbitrations relating to the performance of a partnership agreement regarding the shareholding in and the management of a public cement plant in Algeria (two ICC arbitrations, Paris seat, Algerian law).
  • Counsel to a Moroccan group active in the public urban transportation sector against a European group in relation to the violation of a partnership agreement regarding the operation of a bus network (ICC arbitration, Paris seat, Moroccan law).
  • Counsel to a joint venture against some of its shareholders and directors in relation to the violation of long-term commitments and fiduciary duties (ICC arbitration, Paris seat, French law).
  • Counsel to a pipeline operator in relation to the abrupt termination of long-term agreements (three ICC arbitrations, Paris seat, French law).
  • Counsel to a listed Australian company in an arbitration concerning the misappropriation of its shares in a mining company in North Africa (ICC arbitration, Geneva seat, local law).
  • Counsel to a world leader in industrial and military vehicles sector in several arbitrations relating to consultant contracts and representation in North Africa and the Middle East (ICC arbitrations, Paris seat, French law).
  • Counsel to a Saudi conglomerate leader in the distribution of satellite programs in the Middle East & North Africa region in a dispute with a Qatari operator (ICC arbitration, Paris seat, French law).
  • Counsel to an African state in a dispute over the termination of mining concession contracts, port, and rail agreement with a global leader in the steel industry (ICC arbitration, Paris seat, local law).
  • Counsel to a Ukrainian company in the energy sector in annulment proceedings against a UNCITRAL arbitral award rendered against the Russian Federation arising out of measures implemented by the Russian Federation following the annexation of Crimea (Paris Court of Appeal).
  • Counsel to an African State in annulment proceedings against an ICC arbitral award over allegations of corruption in the performance of the contract (Paris Court of Appeal).
  • Counsel to a Saudi investor in annulment proceedings against several ICC arbitral awards (Paris Court of Appeal).
