Permanent Court of Arbitration Announces Update in Cases Involving Hughes Hubbard

The Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague announced that the tribunal appointed in the Ukrnafta and Stabil arbitrations held hearings on jurisdictional issues in Geneva in July 2016 and expects to rule sometime after the end of August on whether the bilateral investment treaty between Russia and Ukraine gives it the power to hear two of the five cases brought by Ukrainian businesses represented by Hughes Hubbard against the Russian Federation. Click to download PDF.
