Hughes Hubbard Advises Group of Lenders on Refinancing for Metaldom and Diaco

Hughes Hubbard advised a group of lenders on a secured multi-currency financing for Metaldom S.A., Four Bells Resources Inc. and Diaco S.A. The financing consists of loans in Dominican pesos, Colombian pesos and U.S. dollars.

The lending group included Banco Popular Dominicano, The Bank of Nova Scotia, Bancolombia, Promerica and Bladex.

Metaldom, Four Bells and Diaco form part of a conglomerate that is one of the largest long steel producers and distributors in the Caribbean, Central America and Colombia.

Andrés Berry led the Hughes Hubbard team, with assistance from Santiago Diaz-Seijido, Diego Durán de la Vega, Emilio Saiz, Anna Semidei and Katherine Taylor.
