Erin Diers is a partner in the firm’s Corporate Reorganization department, where she focuses on bankruptcy, restructuring and commercial litigation.
Erin’s diverse practice includes the representation of debtors and creditors in a wide range of matters, including in and out-of-court restructurings, debtor-in-possession financing, and bankruptcy litigation, including avoidance actions. Erin also provides bankruptcy advice in connection with financing transactions. Erin maintains an active pro bono practice, representing clients in prisoners’ rights, immigration, and family law cases.

- In re Barretts Minerals Inc.: Counsel to Minerals Technologies Inc. in connection with the Chapter 11 cases of its affiliates to address historic talc-related liabilities.
- In re DBMP LLC: Counsel to Compagnie de Saint Gobain in connection with the Chapter 11 bankruptcy of its U.S. subsidiary to address historic asbestos liabilities.
- In re Imerys Talc America Inc.: Counsel to Imerys S.A., a French mining company, in connection with the Chapter 11 bankruptcy of certain of its U.S. talc mining subsidiaries
- In re Genesis Global Holdco, LLC: Counsel to Gemini Trust Company, the agent for over 232,000 lenders who Genesis owed more than $1 billion in connection with cryptocurrency loans.
- In re Republic Airways Holdings Inc.: Debtor’s counsel for regional airline in connection with its $3.5 billion Chapter 11 restructuring, involving the restructuring of complex debt and lease arrangements relating to more than 90 aircraft, the return or other disposition of more than 130 aircraft, and the resolution of substantial aircraft financing claims
- In re Orion HealthCorp: Represented Guernsey entity, AAKB Limited, in defense of fraudulent transfer litigation.
- In re GulfMark Offshore, Inc.: Represented secured lender DNB Bank ASA with respect to creditor rights and provision of debtor-in-possession financing to GulfMark Offshore, Inc.
- In re Patriot National Inc.: Debtor’s counsel in the pre-negotiated Chapter 11 restructuring of an insurance service company
- In re Ultrapetrol (Bahamas) Ltd.: Debtor’s counsel in the prepackaged Chapter 11 restructuring of international shipping and service company that operates in seven jurisdictions globally
- Blackbird Capital I: Representation of Blackbird Capital I in an $800 million aircraft lease ABS securitization, the proceeds of which will be used by Blackbird to acquire a portfolio of 19 aircraft
- Lehman Brothers Inc.: Representation of the Securities Investor Protection Act (SIPA) trustee in resolving claims brought by the broker-dealer’s former customers, implementing distribution protocols for the satisfaction of customers’ claims, transferring more than $13 billion in property to over a thousand customers
- MF Global Inc.: Representation of the SIPA trustee, including in the recovery of multimillion-dollar claims on behalf of the estate, including avoidance actions, negotiation of claims with former customers, and innovative transactions with customer groups and affiliates, resulting in significant distributions to customers and general creditors
- Pro bono representation of a client in the Eastern District of New York and the Kings County Supreme Court in his successful post-conviction proceeding alleging the prosecution’s use of perjured testimony and other due process violations
