Healey, Tom

Tom Healey is a partner in Hughes Hubbard’s Washington, DC, office. He is part of the firm’s Aviation group and has extensive experience representing a variety of aviation industry clients. He is a recognized leader in aviation finance law and has won numerous deal-of-the-year awards from leading aviation industry publications. Tom regularly provides counsel to buyers and sellers of business aircraft and participants in fractional programs on purchase agreements, financing and regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining Hughes Hubbard, Tom was a partner at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, where he represented financiers for numerous aircraft transactions in airline reorganizations. Tom’s experience includes the representation of the aircraft manufacturer Embraer on the Chapter 11 proceedings of Republic Airways, including the restructuring of financings for dozens of aircraft and its participation on the unsecured creditors’ committee. He also advised on the sale of a portfolio of junior debt secured by 80 aircraft.
