Hughes Hubbard has been recognized in the Chambers Latin America 2027 guide for its work advising clients on complex cross-border matters throughout Latin America.
The guide recognized the firm’s Banking & Finance practice, highlighting the strength of its Latin America platform, which advises financial institutions, sponsors and corporate clients on complex financing transactions across the region.
Recent matters include advising lenders on a financing for Global Bank Corporation, Ualá on its equity financing led by Allianz X, a group of lenders on a secured multi-currency financing for Metaldom, Four Bells Resources and Diaco, Bladex on a credit facility to support the acquisition by Grupo Estrella of Cemex’s operations in Panama, and Grupo Financiero CAFSA on a syndicated loan arranged by Bladex.
The rankings also recognized two Hughes Hubbard partners for their individual accomplishments.
Gaela Gehring Flores earned a ranking in International Arbitration (International Counsel), with Chambers noting her extensive knowledge of Latin American arbitration matters and highlighting her experience representing sovereigns in investor-state disputes and corporations in ICC proceedings.
