James Harper is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Hughes Hubbard & Reed in the Litigation practice group.
While in law school, James was a legal extern in the Office of International Claims and Investment Disputes at the Department of State, and he was a legal intern in the appellate litigation group at the Department of Veterans Affairs. He also represented indigent defendants in state court as a member of the law school’s criminal defense clinic.
Prior to law school, James served in the United States Army for six years, where he supported strategic foreign policy objectives as a member of airborne and special operations units.
